Help Maintain the Beauty of Miramar National Cemetery

The Miramar National Cemetery Support Foundation is honored to work with the Veterans Administration to host annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies and beautify the Cemetery. We have provided projects such as the Avenue of Flags, Veterans Tribute Tower, and coordinated the placement of other veterans’ monuments in the cemetery. The distinctive memorials currently at Miramar National Cemetery help create a beautiful and peaceful environment for families who come to visit their loved ones – our nation’s heroes – in their final resting place. Our latest endeavor is to enhance the cemetery’s Flag Assembly Area as a venue for veterans’ programs and ceremonies by providing permanent guest seating.

The Memorial Amphitheater will be the biggest project the Support Foundation has undertaken to date with a cost for construction and permanent maintenance topping $750,000. To achieve this goal will require active participation by the public, by corporations, by veterans’ groups, by local government, and by civic organizations as the Support Foundation receives no federal government support for its activities at Miramar National Cemetery.
