This event continues to be VIRTUAL!
The Miramar National Cemetery Support Foundation was honored to work with Veterans Affairs to provide the Avenue of Flags, Veterans Tribute Tower and Carillon, and to coordinate the placement of other veterans’ monuments in the cemetery. The distinctive memorials currently at Miramar National Cemetery help create a beautiful and peaceful environment for families who come to visit their loved ones – our nation’s heroes – in their final resting place. Our latest endeavor to enhance the cemetery’s Flag Assembly Area as a venue for veterans’ programs and ceremonies will provide permanent guest seating.
This is the largest project the Support Foundation has undertaken to date. While a substantial amount for the project has been raised, we face the unexpected consequences of the pandemic which include the rise in construction and labor costs along with continued supply chain issues. The cost for construction and permanent maintenance of the Amphitheater has risen over 20% within the last year.
Please contribute, today! Any contribution amount counts and will aid in turning this dream into a reality. All donations made will go towards the construction and maintenance of the Amphitheater as well as the maintenance of memorials at Miramar National Cemetery. If preferred, checks can be mailed to: Miramar National Cemetery Support Foundation, Attn: Amphitheater Fund, 6906 Miramar Road, Ste C-142, San Diego, CA 92121.
Every donation has an opportunity to take home one of two paintings by local artist Tom Baldauf, a resident of
Point Loma and well-known San Diego artist who has
painted landscapes and seascapes along California’s coastline for some 60
years. Baldauf has donated two paintings, Hermosa Beach and Crescent City Beach, oil on canvas paintings to the Miramar National Cemetery Support Foundation to use in its effort to raise funds for construction and maintenance of the Memorial Amphitheater. The paintings are valued at $500 each. Donate now for an opportunity to take one of these beautiful paintings home!
You will receive a formal acknowledgment of your contribution. The Support Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and a 509 (c)(1) public charity. The Foundation's Tax Identification number is 65-1277308.
We THANK YOU in advance for your consideration!
Sincerely, The Board of Directors
